Mortal Trinity by: Kelly St. Clare

☠Mortal Trinity by: Kelly St. Clare☠

Oh, what an end to an amazing series! I will sincerely miss these characters so much!

This entire journey pulled me in from the first book, and it kept me guessing, wanting to know what happened next.

I loved watching Ebba grow. She has one of the most amazing character arcs I think I have ever read. From the girl who swore she was just a pirate to the amazing woman who went for what she wanted and stood against the evil of the world.

Mortal Trinity starts off where the last book ended, dealing with a terrible tragedy that I didn’t want to believe actually happened. (I won’t say more in case anyone hasn’t read that one yet)

Watching Ebba in all her pain was heart wrenching. You wanted to crawl into the book and hug her and tell her everything was going to be okay, even if it wasn’t.

And as much as I wanted Ebba to be with Caspian, in the end, I am glad of how things worked out. I really enjoyed watching Jagger and Ebba’s relationship evolve! I loved their relationship 😭😭😭

I liked learning more about the immortals and the history of the pillars and the trinity.

Earth Mother and Mortem made me chuckle multiple times. 😂😂 To the left is how I pictured everyone whenever they talked! Hahaha.

Ugh this book was just so good. I honestly just can’t say more than that. If you haven’t started this series yet, you really need to! And if you’ve read all the books but just haven’t gotten to this one, get to it!

I could not have asked for a better ending. It was perfect. I literally cried at the end because one: it was amazing and two: I was so sad that it was over. Each story Kelly cooks up is amazing, so I know whatever comes next is going to be so good!

Synopsis:

The battle is over.

My fathers are insistent that we keep fighting and end the pillars’ evil reign. As far as I’m concerned, the battle was lost when hell burst open and someone I loved died.

But Mutinous Cannon didn’t just take the root of magic when he broke free, he took Jagger.

No matter that I’m lost to grief. No matter that I’m floating in an abyss. The thought of Jagger in the suffocating grip of the taint won’t let me give up.

I’ll get my flaxen-haired pirate back. Whatever the cost. After that? The realm can save itself.
