Heartless Sky By: Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

I am not sure where to even start with this review. May contain spoilers so please proceed with caution.

This book was utterly insane. You went through so many emotions reading this. There was laughter and happiness but also heartbreak and utter despair.

Caroline and Susanne pulled no punches with this book. They were not afraid to hit you where it hurts and grind your heart into pieces.

There were so many times I wanted to stop reading because I just didn't know if my heart could honestly take anymore. But then something good would happen and you would feel okay again. It was a constant rollercoaster.

If the rollercoaster was on fire, and only had loops, and you weren't quite sure you were buckled in securely enough, so you could fall to your imminent death at any moment.

Yeah...that about sums it up.

Now with that being said, it was an amazing book. It was beautifully written and you can tell they put everything they had into this book. You could feel everything the characters were feeling.

The character growth was astonishing. So much happens in this book. A lot of characters grow in big ways and it's amazing to read. Especially when you started off hating a lot of them.

Also, can I just say how much I utterly love Darcy and Orion. Like for real. I have rooted for them since the beginning. And I love watching their relationship grow.

Tori and Darius. I love seeing them happy together. It seriously just warms your heart every time they are together and the stars aren't throwing a huge a hissy fit.

As always, there are hefty curveballs thrown in here. It makes your head spin a little.

This book also has one of the most disturbing scenes I have ever read. Ever. I was like what the actual fuck is happening here.

And then I was like 'oh god whyyy' and wanted to bleach my brain because it was just that bad. *Shudders just thinking about*

Did you all get that idea from Games of Thrones? Just asking...

I will say though, I am so happy we are on the final stretch. This is probably a controversial opinion, but I am ready for this series to be over. I love it, I do, so please don't think otherwise.

It's just these characters have been through so much crap, I think they deserve their happy ever after's now. I am ready for the happy and fuzzy feelings you get when the characters finally get what they want and they can finally breathe. It's never fun when a series ends, but these guys deserve a break. Big time.

A couple last things, I cannot say how much I love Tory and Darcy's relationship. I love how close they are and how they also have each other's backs.

They remind me of my sister and myself. I love her to the moon and back. She has always had my back and I don't know what I would do without her.

While this book definitely had its dark moments, there were more than a few times I was dying of laughter. Gerry and Seth are hilarious and they never fail to lighten up the mood and give us that much needed comedic relief.

I will say this...this cliffhanger is the worst yet. They were not kidding about that. It's heart wrenching and utterly devastating. Be prepared to staunch your bleeding your heart because it's going to hurt. A lot.

I have faith that everything will work out in the end. I cannot wait for Asscrux and Shadow Bitch to finally die. It will be epic and amazing.

While I know I had some scary things to say, please don't let that deter you from reading. It really was an amazing book and you won't be able to put it down. <3
